How it Works

Watchfolio.app is a project made by Joshua Poon, and it aims to combine webscraping with data visualization to provide users with insights into the price trends of watches sourced from eBay and Chrono24. By leveraging Selenium for web scraping, Watchfolio.app collects real-time pricing data from these platforms. This data is then uploaded to a CSV file stored on GitHub, Found Here, ensuring accessibility and version control.

The integration of D3.js, a powerful JavaScript library for data visualization, empowers Watchfolio.app to convert the raw github pricing data into interactive and informative graphs. Users can explore price fluctuations, identify trends, and make informed decisions about watch investments. With a user-friendly interface, Watchfolio.app offers an intuitive experience, enabling enthusiasts and collectors to stay updated on the evolving watch market landscape.
